House Rules

All house rules are spelled out in the Guest Agreement you will be asked to review and sign as part of our booking/confirmation process.

HOUSE RULES/POLICIES/TERMS: VIOLATIONS WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF RENTAL FEES & DEPOSITS.

1. The Primary Guest making payment and signing Guest Agreement must be 28 years of age or older and be present throughout the entire rental period. Proof of age is required by providing a copy of valid Photo ID. Reservations made under false pretenses will be terminated and will forfeit all monies paid.
2. The Owner has the right to inspect the premises at any time to enforce the terms of this agreement. Should any Guest violate any of the terms of this agreement, the rental period shall be terminated immediately. Guests waive all rights to process if they fail to vacate the premises upon termination of the rental period.
3. Check-in is at 4:00pm or later. DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 4pm while cleaning is in progress
4. All Guests shall vacate the premises no later than 10am on the Departure Date (see #16. charges below).
5. No Pets, No Smoking, No Vaping, No illegal activities are allowed in or on the property at any time.
6. The railroad runs near the river through the gorge and is across the street from this home. Most of us get used to the sounds and movements, but some guests may be bothered by the numerous trains day and night. There will be no refunds given due to any disturbance you may encounter.
7. Occupancy, Car, & Activity Limits: Maximum occupancy in and/or on the property at all times is SIX (6) registered-only guests and the car limit is two (2). You must park directly in front of the home and not across the street. No motor homes, trailers, campers, tents, jet skis, or boats are allowed on the property, on the beach, or parked in the street near this home. Windsurfing and kayaks are allowed (equipment is not provided). Kite board launching is not allowed from this property, but there is a sail park and boat ramp access to the river at the east end of the waterfront where launching is allowed. Guests who violate are subject to removal from the property and will not receive a refund of any rents, fees, or deposits.
8. Noise/Parties: The City of Stevenson is strict about no loud noises or parties. Please be courteous to our neighbors. NO PARTIES, EVENTS, WEDDINGS, RECEPTIONS, or MEETINGS ALLOWED. Guests who violate are subject to removal from the property and will not receive a refund of any rents, fees, or deposits.
9. Do not rearrange furniture or lamps, or remove anything from the home. Towels, linens, blankets, pillows, and cushions are for indoor use only. Several beach towels for outdoors are provided.
10. All guests must sleep in beds. No sleeping allowed on any other furniture in home including sofas.
11. Do not touch wiring or move TV/DVD/Stereo/Speakers, or attach any electronic equipment.
12. Air conditioning shall not be set below 70 degrees and the fan setting shall be “Auto”. Doors and windows shall be closed when either heat or air conditioning is in operation.
13. Absolutely no outdoor fires or fireworks allowed on the decks, patios, property, or beach.
14. Damage/House Rules Deposit: Any damage, missing inventory, excessive cleaning/garbage fees, or House Rules violations will be charged against the Security Deposit Paid.
15. Cancellation/Refund Policy – We highly recommend you obtain CFAR Travel/Trip Cancellation Insurance.
There are No Refunds for cancelled bookings.
There are No Refunds for a shortened stay or for any inconvenience due to a malfunction of any appliance or amenity, mechanical breakdown, inclement weather, or other adverse circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to resolve any home-related problems you report to us as quickly as possible.
16. Cleaning/checkout (this information is also posted in home on refrigerator)
Checkout must be completed by 10am (additional charges for late departure @ $100 per half hour).
If checking out earlier, please let us know time at (503) 806-6581.
Leave home tidy & kitchen clean (wash, dry & put away all dishes). A clean load may be left in dishwasher.
Leave used towels, mats, & sheets in hampers located in main level bathroom closet. We will wash them.
Remove all your personal items & any food from refrigerator. Bag & place garbage in outside can.
Ensure all interior & exterior furnishings are in their original position.
Turn off coffee pot, stove/oven, TV, DVD, Stereo. Unplug iron.
Turn off all interior & exterior Lights & Fans.
Turn heat down to 60 in winter, air conditioning off in summer.
Turn off exterior faucets.
Lock all windows & doors. Ensure front door keypad/lock is in “locked position”.

INDEMNIFICATION: All Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Columbia Gorge River House LLC and the property owners against any and all claims of personal injury, illness or disease, or property damage or loss arising from their use and occupancy of the rental property and premises regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, illness, disease, or loss

Payment Policy

100% of payment is due at the time of booking. Payments are currently processed via PayPal. We may also consider US checks if your reservation is far enough "in advance". Please inquire.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation/Refund Policy – We highly recommend you obtain Travel/Trip Cancellation Insurance, in particular CFAR (cancel for any reason).
• In the event you should need to cancel your booking before your arrival date, Please be aware that the Rental Fees and Taxes are non-refundable.
• No refund for a shortened stay, or for any inconvenience due to a malfunction of any appliance or amenity, mechanical breakdown, inclement weather, or other adverse circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to resolve any reported home-related problems as quickly as possible.
